About the Event
This session will look at Priestley's motivation in writing 'An Inspector Calls' though a focus on the 1912 and 1945 contexts, an exploration of Priestley's socialism, and the traditions of the detective story and the 'well-made play'. By the end of the session you should have a clear understanding of the context of the play and the skills to write about it.
