Banquo’s Murder: This lesson we’ll look at Macbeth’s plan to murder his friend, Banquo.
- Explore Macbeth’s mental deterioration
- Explore Macbeth’s loss of control as he plots to murder innocent children
- Discuss Macbeth’s conversation with the murderers
- Discuss the failed plan which sees Banquo’s son escape
- Analyse the importance of Banquo’s Ghost appearing and Macbeth’s crazy reaction
- Analyse Lady Macbeth’s constant reassurance of stability and order on Macbeth’s behalf
