About the Event
Up until nearly 3 weeks ago, schools in the UK were shut for over 5 months due to the pandemic, if you do the math, it’s nearly half of their school year (190 days) lost. Right now, what children need is support and aid in their academic education. The Community Catch Up Scheme sessions are as accessible as possible, so that it can be benefical to as many and all students, providing them with resources and additional education to help reverse this effect of the pandemic.
The Communtiy Catch Up Scheme, made possible by The National Lottery Community Fund, will have free online sessions/classes consisting of core and curricular subjects, for the children of our community in the age range of 3-18yrs. We have subjects such as English, Science, Maths, History, Spanish and more! Sessions will run out of school hours; after school (4pm-7pm), and on weekends.
To attend sessions, you will need to register to the Communtiy Catch Up event, then everyday there will be sessions added in advance for the next week. Session events are open for sign ups, up until the day of the session in the morning. You will then receive the link to the session you have signed up for by midday, to the email you registered for that session with.
The National Lottery Community Fund are enabling us to carry on these Catch-Up sessions till December, which means that more and more sessions will be added every week for a while, so please keep a look out! We are continously working towards providing as many sessions and topics as possible, for as many age groups as we can. We apologise if on some days your child does not fit into the schedule, but different topics are being added daily and weekly.
