Children 4 Care Homes Community Christmas Cards

Znaniye Foundation is working to unite generations in the community during this abnormal festive period, by working with children and youth in our community to create and deliver handmade Christmas/Holiday cards to local care homes. Elderly people have been incredibly isolated throughout the pandemic, and our project is aiming to find a way to tackle that isolation in a COVID secure way and to connect two generations and different communities. Even though this project is mainly aimed at children and youth, we urge people of all ages to create cards, as at this unprecedented time we need to all come together!

If You Want to Get Involved and Create a Card:

You should sign up yourself or your child to this event, there is no age limit or limit to the amount of cards you would like to send. When signing up, you will be able to choose the Ealing Borough Care Home you would like your card sending to (See list of Care Homes below), please add the email address that is best to contact you on. You will also need to choose the submission method for your christmas card.

- Ealing Manor, Nursing Home

- Kent Lodge, Care Home

- The Meadows Residential Care Home

- Right At Home, Assisted Living Home

- Manor Court, Care Home

- St. Davids Home, Care Home

Once the registration form is filled in and you have signed up, yourself/your child or student can then start to make and create the Christmas Card/s. Any materials can be used to make/decorate the card! Feel free to express your festive side thoroughly! Please address the card to your chosen care home and write a small kind message to all of the residents. The message can be short and light hearted, or have a sizeable thoughtful message, to give the people of the care home some festive feeling and sense of community and support during this difficult time!

Card Submission Methods (CARD SUBMISSION ENDS ON 18.12.2020):

When you are filling in the registration form, you will need to choose one of the options stated below to submit your card/s.

Email:

If you are submitting your card/s by email, your email needs to include:

- Picture of the Card/s

- Name

- Age

- The Chosen Care Home

- The Message you have put inside the card

Drop Off:

We have a drop off site in every Ealing Borough, once the card is created please email contact@znaniyefoundation.co.uk and we will advise the closest drop off site!

Special Christmas Drop Off Event 18.12.20 (highly recommended):

We will have a Special Christmas Drop Off Event from 3:30pm - 7pm outside the most magical Chistmas house in Pitshanger, with a visit from Santa Clause and his Elves. Children will receive a small christmas goodie bag when dropping off their card. We will distribute the specific location of the Magical Christmas House, the week beginning the 14th, to the participants who have chosen that submission method; alternatively you can request the address in advance by dropping us an email!
